Before elections, the housing market often freezes. However, once they’re over, we usually start to see early signs of what’s ahead.
This past weekend Redfin’s Homebuyer Demand Index—a measure of tours and other buying services from Redfin agents—jumped more than 15%, reaching its highest level in nearly a year and a half.
It’s too soon to predict exactly what will happen next year, but many experts are forecasting lower rates and increased home sales.
